Movie Manager Features
- Search
Once you have the movies in your movie database, you can search and sort the movies in several different ways.
- From the Movies screen, it will search for movies using your default search settings which are set in the Options > Search Default screen.
- From the Search>Simple screen, which gives you the options to search movies based on two types of genre, the MPAA rating and the user rating. You can also do a double sort from a list of 11 sort criteria. For example you can search for all movies that are comedy or drama that are either rated G, PG or PG13 that have a user rating of 7 or better and sort them by MPAA rating and then by title.
- From the Search>Advanced screen, which gives you the option to search on nearly anything possible such as keywords in the title, plot and notes sections; actors; director; year released - current (the current year), recent (within the last five years) or classic (older than 20 years); whether you have seen it; type of media; and much, much more.
- From the Search>Cmd Line screen which gives you the option to search every way possible if you know MySQL commands. This option is only in Cinema Premiere Personal Server as it could result in disaster on a multi-user system.
From each search screen you have the option to export the search results to a text file that can either be printed as a nice quick reference to all your movies or it can be copied to a removable media and viewed on your PDA which is a handy thing to have at Blockbuster to know which movies you have already seen or have at home.
